Why Written in Reverie

From reverie to reality.

Every worthwhile project starts as something unfinished: an idea, a messy draft, a business finding its voice or a story that deserves better than generic content.

Written in Reverie is a small creative communications studio founded by Heather Johnston, built for clients who would rather work with one person who can understand the whole picture than coordinate five disconnected pieces.

My background spans journalism, corporate communications, brand design and freelance creative work. I have led visual identity work through major organizational change, built campaigns and event materials, developed newsletters and digital content, and reported long-form stories recognized by journalism organizations in Canada and the U.S.

The result is work that treats writing and design as parts of the same job: making the idea clearer, sharper and easier for people to believe in.
